Job Summary
Health Educator, PRN responsible for developing and delivering employee and corporate wellness programs, coaching high-risk individuals, leading groups, teaching wellness classes, and reporting outcomes. Works as a liaison between Business Health and other Prisma Health departments; creates/implements wellness programs, conducts health coaching, and leads health fairs, Lunch and Learns, and educational outreach. Requires collaboration with campus representatives, strong public speaking and motivational interviewing skills, and knowledge of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, CVD, COPD, obesity, and mental health. Bachelor's degree in a health-related field is required; masters preferred. Position located in Columbia or Greenville areas, SC, with variable work shift; part-time role under Prisma Health's Community and Social Health programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health related field of study, Education, Wellness, or Exercise Science
- Experience - One (1) year health promotion/intervention/education, exercise science, public speaking, health coaching
- Experience in tobacco cessation, weight management and/or coaching preferred
- Health education/coaching and/or personal training certification preferred
