Job Summary
Health Educator for CAMBA's Opioid Overdose Prevention Program in Brooklyn (Part-time, 20 hours). Conduct outreach at areas where drug users congregate; educate community members on naloxone use to reverse opioid overdoses; dispense naloxone kits to substance users and their families; prepare and maintain program documentation and reports; may assist with marketing materials. Requires DOHMH TOD training completion and ability to work in a community outreach setting; minimum one year of relevant experience; strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills; experience with outreach and diverse populations. Compensation is $22.00 hourly with benefits, status as part-time.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of relevant experience, preferably in a mid-sized (250+ employees) organization.
- Experience with community outreach and engagement.
- Good written & verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in diverse settings.
