Job Summary
Conduct weekly educational workshops and parent sessions at partnering schools and organizations to teach youth and families on adolescent sexuality, pregnancy prevention, and wellness behaviors. Deliver evidence-based CAPP/PREP curricula with fidelity while establishing relationships with community and faith-based organizations. Provide referrals for comprehensive family planning and support services, assist with program development, and complete required reporting and evaluations. Travel to off-site locations as needed and attend collaborative meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health education, health science, public health, or community health
- At least two years of experience in health education
- Ability to facilitate discussion/teach classes to youth in a variety of setting on reproductive health topics as reproductive anatomy, contraceptive methods, STDs and HIV/AIDS
- Experience working with youth
- Demonstrated ability to be inclusive and non-stigmatizing in their role
- Knowledge of experience with priority population to be served and community
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends
- Travel to off-site locations to provide services
