Job Summary
Coordinate the Tobacco Prevention Program by attending community meetings, events, and trainings to promote tobacco-free lifestyles and advocate for policy change. Develop and submit the quarterly work plan in ATACS, manage promotional purchases via Ariba, and transport youth for the Students Working Against Tobacco chapter. Serve as a community resource for cessation services, organize local prevention events, and support the Tobacco Free Partnership. Travel to surrounding community activities and partner with schools and organizations to deliver health education. Perform daily administrative functions and attend monthly Employee Empowerment Committee meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Knowledge of tobacco prevention
- Knowledge of chronic disease
- Knowledge of risk factors

- Knowledge of health promotion practices
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of community-based health promotion planning
- Coalition-building skills
- Knowledge of Automated Tobacco Activity Collection System (ATACS)
- Knowledge of Ariba on Demand (AOD)
- Knowledge of Tobacco Purchasing Guidelines
- Skilled in public speaking
- Skilled in teaching techniques

- All Florida Department of Health positions require the incumbent to be able to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English
- Successful completion of a drug test
