Job Summary
Oversees the development, marketing, and implementation of educational and outreach programs at the In Control site for youth ages 11–19, supervises the Youth Site Coordinator and education contractors, ensures program outcomes and compliance with funders, builds relationships with community organizations, delivers health education sessions, maintains records, and supports referrals to comprehensive reproductive healthcare and family planning services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health education or a health-related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with the provision of comprehensive sexuality education to an adolescent population
- Experience working with youth and ability to be non-stigmatizing of youth in their role
- Ability to facilitate discussions/teach classes to youth on reproductive health topics such as reproductive anatomy, contraceptive methods, STDs, and HIV/AIDS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat)
- Knowledge of reproductive health, anatomy and physiology, and family planning
- Knowledge of or experience with community and priority populations to be served
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to plan and implement programs from the ground up
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with various groups and stakeholders
- Bilingual skills, depending on the community and youth being served
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends
- Must have reliable transportation and/or a valid driver’s license not in jeopardy of being revoked
