Job Summary
Coordinate client physical and behavioral health services within residential treatment facilities by facilitating communication between clients, nursing staff, and medical providers. Support the intake process, monitor medication administration in electronic records, and document client risks, needs, and barriers using program-approved screening tools. Provide direct client support by engaging in milieu activities, reinforcing treatment plans, and responding to urgent health concerns through basic first aid and emergency notifications. Maintain accurate documentation of services, eligibility assessments, and case notes while ensuring required notifications are completed during shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One (1) year of experience working in a caregiving, human services, behavioral health, or social services setting, or experience supporting marginalized or vulnerable populations
- Must apply for Agency Affiliated Counselor registration within 30 days of hire and obtain and maintain active registration within 90 days of hire in accordance with WAC 246-810-015; RCW 18.19.210
- First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Proficient level of written/verbal communication
- Efficiency with independent task management
- Ability to show attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to learn
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional, empathetic, and client-centered approach when working with individuals in recovery
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and drug testing during employment, to include testing for marijuana
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) or electronic records management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet navigation
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification
