Job Summary

Coordinate and monitor client physical and behavioral health services within residential treatment facilities, facilitating communication between clients, nursing staff, medical providers, pharmacy services, and program staff. Support the intake process, coordinate internal and external medical and behavioral health appointments including telehealth, and assist with medication monitoring and documentation accuracy in the electronic medication administration record. Provide direct client support by engaging clients in the milieu, observing and monitoring changes in health status, reinforcing treatment plans, and responding to urgent health concerns by notifying appropriate clinical staff or emergency services. Maintain a safe environment through cleaning and equipment management, assist with medication storage and ordering, and provide basic first aid as the first point of contact for emergency responses. Follow provider orders, gather and relay client health information, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record to ensure continuity of care.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One (1) year of experience working in a caregiving, human services, behavioral health, or social services setting, or experience supporting marginalized or vulnerable populations
  • Must apply for Agency Affiliated Counselor registration within 30 days of hire and obtain and maintain active registration within 90 days of hire in accordance with WAC 246-810-015; RCW 18.19.210
  • First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire
  • Proficient level of written/verbal communication, and efficiency with independent task management and ability to show attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional, empathetic, and client-centered approach when working with individuals in recovery

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) or electronic records management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet navigation
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification
