Job Summary
Health Center Relations Specialist at our 51st Ave Health Center in Phoenix, AZ. This frontline role engages with patients, greeting visitors, handling check-ins, scheduling appointments, conducting intake interviews, and collecting and updating patient information in line with UDS guidelines. The role supports coordination with clinic staff, ensures accurate demographics and insurance details, and contributes to a compassionate, professional patient experience. Training is provided, and the position emphasizes front-office, customer-facing service in healthcare settings, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to organizational values.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum One- Year Relevant Front Office Customer Facing and Focused Service Experience in Healthcare, Hospitality, or Banking
- Front Office Experience in Healthcare, Behavioral Health, Dental or a Medical Office is Preferred
- High School Diploma, GED within six (6) months of assuming this position Or Associates degree in medical and health (e.g. healthcare administration, insurance billing and coding, psychology) or care social work, human services, communication preferred
- Familiarity with health insurance eligibility and electronic health record management systems. Experience with NextGen preferred
- Intermediate level of competency in Microsoft Suite and web-based programs
- Experience in managing a wide range of administrative, support related tasks. Must be well organized, flexible, able to multi-task, possess strong time management skills, attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record of delivering a high level of customer service in a healthcare setting
- This role is a non-driving position. This position is performed at one location and does not require travel to various Terros Health centers
