Job Summary
Create compelling business intelligence content using Tableau by working closely with customers, database administrators, ETL teams, and project managers. Prototype reports for clients, respond to requirement changes, and develop schedules, resource plans, and implementation documentation for medium-to-large projects. Lead cross-functional resources, mentor staff, and manage both direct and indirect personnel within SCRUM teams. Requires 3+ years of health care experience focused on claims, eligibility, and quality of care analysis, along with 2+ years developing Tableau reports and 1+ year with Cognos. Must work in Richmond, VA with up to 30% travel.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ Years developing Tableau reports using Tableau desktop and Tableau server
- 1+ Years developing Cognos reports using Cognos Report Studio
- 3+ years of health care experience, especially focused on claims, eligibility and quality of care analysis
- 3+ Years of experience writing free - hand SQL queries. Excellent command of ANSI SQL.
- Solid 5+ years of hands - on overall experience with Data Warehouse technologies within the domain of ETL / data integration, Business Intelligence, relational and multi - dimensional database systems
- Strong organization skills and ability to set priorities and schedule work deadlines.
- Very good verbal communication skills
- Good written skills and proven ability to produce project deliverables in a clear and concise fashion
- Experience with application development including full life cycle activities
- Mentor and lead other staff that require training and guidance
- Coordinate cross functional resources; experience managing both direct reports as well as indirect (matrix) personnel
- Bachelors or Advanced Degree in a related field such as Information Technology/Computer Science, Mathematics / Statistics, Analytics, Business Technology
- Must be willing to work in Richmond, VA and travel up to 30% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in quantitative methods or public health with a strong quantitative methods background
- Excellent understanding of SQL analytic functions.
- Understanding of inferential statistics
- Information Technology Architecture Analysis experience
- Strong presentation skills
- Knowledge of fraud, waste, and abuse detection
- Experience with Teradata and / or other RDBMS platforms
- Experience leading requirements sessions with client teams
