Job Summary
Assist teachers by caring for handicapped high school students’ physical health needs and supporting their educational activities. Responsibilities include supervising students, noting health/behavioral issues, maintaining health records, transporting students with medical needs on campus, assisting during meals and field trips, medication administration and documentation, operating mobility equipment, feeding (including tube feeding as ordered), providing toileting/diapering support, following safety standards, administering CPR/First Aid as needed, and collaborating with licensed health professionals to address varied student health requirements. Position starts at a monthly salary of $3,283.07, prorated for 9.4 months starting August 12, 2026, based at Independence High School. The role involves on-site health care support under supervision with on-the-job training occurring yearly as needed.
