Health Care Specialist/Combat Medic

Assess patients' medical histories, symptoms, and health conditions to determine appropriate care in clinical or tactical environments. Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and educate soldiers on managing health conditions and Combat Life Savers procedures. Conduct routine check-ups, vaccinations, and health screenings to promote wellness and preventive care. Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and manage medical readiness and equipment. Schedule and conduct follow-up appointments to track patient progress. Provide limited primary care and health protection and evacuation from the point of injury to a central medical facility in combat scenarios.
