Job Summary
Health Care Nurse role focused on perioperative care in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Provides nursing leadership for patient care personnel, circulates independently on complex cases, conducts comprehensive preoperative assessments, plans and implements individualized nursing interventions, and evaluates care effectiveness. Coordinates patient care assignments, communicates with patients, staff and physicians, mentors less-experienced nurses and technicians, applies evidence-based nursing practice, and seeks to improve departmental processes. Requires RN licensure with BLS HCP certification across applicable states and related perioperative/surgical experience. The role supports a 40-hour work week with full-time scheduling and includes a benefits package and sign-on considerations.

- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- One year advanced surgical experience
