Job Summary
Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, establishing objectives, and defining interventions for patients, families, and friends. Deliver physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support while reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating care plans with the multidisciplinary team. Teach healthcare requirements by instructing patients on conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Maintain safe environments by adhering to infection-control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled substance regulations. Document all patient care services in department records and keep equipment and supplies stocked.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Active license in the state of practice
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
