Job Summary
Provides direct patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated health care professional in an acute care Med/Surg setting. Duties include recording vital signs, assisting with personal care and hygiene, mobility, and serving as a liaison between patient and nurse. Delivers high-quality customer service to patients and families, and ensures accurate, timely documentation of patient care. Requires ability to communicate effectively, follow directions, and comply with patient safety standards; prior nursing aide training or CNA/STNA experience and BLS knowledge are implied prerequisites.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of nursing aide training program OR STNA OR CNA OR Nurses Aide state testing OR nursing program with clinical nursing rotation
- BLS certification (preferred upon hire; must obtain prior to direct patient care)
