Health Care Assistant - Madison Hospital Acute Med Care 3rd FL - PT - 3rd Shift

Support the assigned unit by providing technical patient care services, including vital signs, activities of daily living, patient transport, and transfers to discharge. Assist staff, physicians, visitors, and ancillary departments with routine patient care activities and clerical support such as directing incoming calls, responding to patient calls, entering patient charges, and maintaining patient charts and unit files. Ensure a safe and orderly environment while managing secretarial supply levels. Requires a high school diploma or GED, BCLS certification by orientation, and prior patient care or two years of clerical experience. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
