Health Care Assistant - Madison Hospital Acute Med Care 3rd FL - FT - 3rd Shift

Provide technical patient care services and support related to patients on the nursing unit under the direction of physicians and clinical staff. Perform patient care activities including vital signs, activities of daily living, transport, and transfer of patients to include discharge. Assist staff, physicians, visitors, and ancillary departments with routine patient care activities and clerical support as needed. Direct incoming calls, respond to patient calls, enter patient charges in the computer system, maintain patient charts, unit files, and secretarial supply levels. Ensure a safe and orderly environment is maintained. BCLS required by conclusion of orientation; HS/GED required with preferred CNA certification. Two years clerical experience or comparable patient care experience required. Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Full-time, third shift.
