Health Care Assistant - CVICU - FT - 3rd Shift (8 hour shifts)

Provide technical patient care services and support related to patients on the nursing unit under the direction of physicians and clinical staff. Perform patient care activities including vital signs, activities of daily living, transport, and transfer of patients to include discharge. Assist staff, physicians, visitors, and ancillary departments with routine patient care activities and clerical support as needed. Handle incoming calls, respond to patient calls, enter patient charges into the computer system, and maintain patient charts, unit files, and secretarial supply levels. Ensure a safe and orderly environment. Requires previous patient care experience and two years of clerical experience with a BCLS certification by the conclusion of orientation. Full-time 8-hour third shift.
