Job Summary
Health Care Aide (HCA) needed in Morris, MB at Red River Valley Lodge under the Nursing - Long Term Care unit. The HCA provides ADL support under supervision, adheres to care plans, maintains confidentiality, and participates in ongoing education to sustain competency. Required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with duties aligned to CUPE collective agreement terms, and may include evenings, nights and weekends. Bilingual English/French capability is essential for designated positions. Certification requirements include an HCA certificate and current BLS; patient care priorities include safety, privacy, and respectful interaction with residents.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12
- Health Care Aide Certificate from recognized program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute Care)
- Proficiency in English; bilingual English/French essential for targeted roles
- Knowledge of PHIA and FIPPA
- WHMIS
- VPP training
- SCHIPP
- Driver's license may be required for some areas
- Ability to travel to other regional facilities as needed
