Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living while maintaining their privacy and dignity, and promote choices to facilitate resident independence. Accurately document care and observations for the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, monitoring holistic needs including physical, psychological, spiritual, social, and emotional well-being. Contribute to a safe environment by adhering to safety guidelines, emergency preparedness, and response policies. Work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and change documented care needs. This temporary part-time role begins August 14, 2026, and ends October 31, 2027, with a 0.70 FTE schedule of 14 seven-and-a-quarter-hour days per cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 10 education
- Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate
- Registered with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA)
- Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read and write effectively in English
- Excellent observation, communication and problem solving skills
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Criminal Background Check
- Provide proof of all mandatory immunizations
