Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living while maintaining their privacy and dignity, and promote their independence in accordance with care plans. Accurately document and report care observations to Registered Nurses, monitoring physical, psychological, and emotional well-being. Contribute to a safe environment by adhering to safety guidelines and emergency preparedness policies. Work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and adjust resident care needs. This part-time role involves a 14 x 7.75-hour shift cycle, starting August 2026 at the Bethany Collegeside site in Red Deer.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 10 education
- Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate
- Registered with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA)
- Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read and write effectively in English
- Excellent observation, communication and problem solving skills
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Criminal Background Check
- Provide proof of all mandatory immunizations
