Job Summary
Health Care Aide provides resident-centered care, assists residents with activities of daily living while maintaining privacy and dignity, documents care and observations to the supervising nurse, monitors holistic resident well-being, adheres to safety guidelines, demonstrates commitment to Bethany's mission of Creating Caring Communities, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate and adjust documented care needs; English communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 10 education
- Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate
- Registered with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA)
- Previous Health Care Aide experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read and write effectively in English
- Excellent observation, communication and problem solving skills
