Job Summary
Provide care within Health Care Competencies by meeting physical, mental, emotional, and cultural needs of clients while building respectful relationships. Check equipment for defects, report issues, and comply with infection control and isolation procedures. Recognize signs of abuse, altered behaviors, and stress sources; document observations, complete daily shift charting, and refer complex issues to the health care team. Encourage client wellness efforts, maintain a safe home environment, and respect rights to confidentiality and independence. Maintain First Aid and CPR Level C certification, hold a satisfactory criminal record check, and work rotational shifts including weekends and Tuesday nights at Balwin Villa.
Required Qualifications
- HCA certificate from an institution recognized by Alberta health Services as evidenced through enrolment in the CLHA Directory as mandate.
- Maintain certification in First Aid and CPR Level C.
- Satisfactory current criminal record check.
