Job Summary
Health Care Aide delivers client care per the client care plan, assists with medications per policy, performs general household duties and outdoor tasks (snow shovelling, lawn/gardening), maintains documentation and records, supports hygiene and personal care, provides emotional support and de-escalation, helps coordinate appointments and activities, and liaises with families and professionals. Requires an HCA certificate, CLHA registration, First Aid/CPR Level C, and a current criminal record check.
Required Qualifications
- HCA certificate from an institution recognized by Alberta health Services as evidenced through enrolment in the CLHA Directory is mandate
- Active registration and licensed through CLHA is required
- Maintain certification in First Aid and CPR Level C
- Satisfactory current criminal record check
