Job Summary
Health Care Aide (HCA) provides basic supportive care and assists with patient/resident care under supervision of RN/RPN/LPN. Requires Grade 12 or equivalent and an HCA certificate; CPR training and BCLS certification required for ICU/urgent care roles with annual recertification. Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple demands. In-person position based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with day/evening/weekend shifts. Eligible applicants include Indigenous candidates; accommodations available during assessment.
Required Qualifications
- Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized college/educational institution
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Current CPR training per employer policy
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for ICU/Urgent Care roles with annual recertification
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and oral)
- Demonstrated teamwork and ability to prioritize and manage workload
- Satisfactory employment record and background checks as required (CRCs, Vulnerable Sector, etc.)
