Job Summary
Health Care Aide – Casual position provides resident care under supervision of RN/RPN/LPN, assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, and monitoring residents; maintains resident records and assists with meals and fluids; requires Health Care Aide Certificate and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team in a long-term care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Health Care Aide Certificate from an approved Manitoba Government Advanced Education and Training Health Care Aide Course is required
- Experience in a long-term care setting is an asset
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Good organizational abilities, with an emphasis on time management
- Good interpersonal skills and an expressed willingness to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
