Job Summary
Monitor and report on client status, including physical and emotional changes, ensuring updates reach the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Deliver prescribed medications accurately per policy and maintain professional, ethical standards while supporting frail seniors in complex continuing care environments. Perform frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients. Work days or evenings between 0700-1515 or 1500-2315 at George Boyack Complex Continuing Care.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Physical capability to manage the frequent lifting, transferring and repositioning of clients
- Active and current registration with CLHA
Desired Qualifications
- Related experience in a health care facility
- Program-specific training/experience
