Job Summary
Oversee the day-to-day operations of a specific department within a store, ensuring it meets or exceeds sales and profitability goals. Train and develop department associates in customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Manage departmental expenses, coordinate inventory replenishment, and communicate regularly with store management to align on store-wide objectives. Lead and motivate diverse teams to improve productivity, engagement, and retention. This role requires proficiency in basic computer skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Candidates must be comfortable working a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. The position is located across Canada within the Real Canadian Superstore network, where sustainability and social impact are core to our business approach.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail management experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Candidates who are 18 years or older are required to complete a criminal background check
