Job Summary
Provide instruction in Health and Wellness courses using established curricula and Blackboard Ultra LMS on the New York Campus. Create a learning environment emphasizing critical thinking, diversity, and inclusion while evaluating student progress and maintaining accurate academic records. Uphold professional ethics and current subject matter knowledge as a part-time adjunct faculty member. Apply discipline expertise relevant to emerging performing artists in an online setting. Maintain currency in the field and fulfill other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Terminal degree in Health Science, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physiology or a related field
- Extensive experience in higher education, plus a Master's degree in Health Science, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physiology or a related field
- A minimum of three years of teaching in the field of Health and Wellness in a post-secondary setting
- Experience with innovative teaching methodologies that focus on creating an engaging, student-centered learning environment
- Currency and depth of knowledge in the applicable professional field
- Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and practices that enhance student success at higher education institutions, including effective use of technology
- Excellent oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Active scholarship in related field
