Job Summary
Coordinate resident care under the medical direction of attending physicians within a WellQuest Living community to help residents remain as independent as possible. Communicate with physicians, hospital personnel, and family members; modify treatment as directed by physicians; supervise and coordinate care staff and assist the Resident Care Coordinator/Journey Program Director with staffing and performance monitoring. Perform nursing duties per the Nurse Practice Act, administer medications and organize central storage/delivery of medications; document and report on resident care, condition changes, and incidents; assist with orienting new staff and support marketing efforts during tours. Fosters daily living activities, dignity, safety, and confidentiality while supporting resident well-being and collaboration with care teams.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Health Services Director in the applicable state
- Prefer one (1) year experience in a health care environment, working with cognitively impaired older adults
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations consistent with medication delivery
- Ability to work patiently with cognitively impaired individuals
- Be mobile and able to perform physical requirements of the job
- Current first aid training
- Pass criminal record clearance before beginning work
