Job Summary
Health and Wellness Director at The Woodlake Senior Living in Sacramento, CA leads the health services program for residents. Responsibilities include supervising nursing and supportive services, performing resident assessments at move-in and after condition changes, ensuring quarterly assessments and safety needs are met, developing and overseeing care plans, communicating with families and physicians, investigating incidents, conducting medication room audits, monitoring 24-hour alert systems, reviewing physician notes, ensuring adherence to policies and state regulations, hiring/training/evaluating health services staff, scheduling to ensure adequate coverage, maintaining resident privacy and dignity, and complying with infection control and required trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent
- A current Licensed Nurse in the state of employment
- A minimum of one (1) year prior nursing experience in a senior living community or related business preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language
- Attain continuing education credits as required by state regulations
- State Criminal Background Check and LIC 508 Criminal Record Statement
- LIC 503 Health Screening Report
Desired Qualifications
- Possess a current Licensed Nurse in the state of employment
- A minimum of one (1) year prior nursing experience in a senior living community or related business
