Job Summary
Manage and direct overall clinical operations for resident care, including planning, organizing, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Lead a full nursing team through recruiting, interviewing, mentoring, and coaching while performing comprehensive assessments and coordinating individualized care plans. Liaise with internal staff, vendors, and medical professionals to ensure seamless collaboration, manage service agreements, and update physician order sheets. Oversee medication management, conduct timely audits, handle incident reporting, and lead investigations during emergencies. Maintain high standards of safety, infection control, and quality assurance through regular staff meetings and protocol adherence.
Required Qualifications
- LVN, LPN or Registered Nurse with a current license in good standing
- RN preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Five years previous management experience preferred
- Knowledgeable of standards of care and practices applicable to the delivery of geriatric services, complex medical conditions, multiple medical diagnoses, including preventive measures, rehabilitation, and promoting independence
- Experience in geriatric nursing or gerontology, including education in the aging process, memory decline and related behavior management highly preferred
- Expertise in most up-to-date safety and infection control practices
- Experience building and leading effective nursing teams including hiring, training and development
- A bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Five to seven years experience in a senior care environment preferred
