Job Summary
Greet members and guests courteously while monitoring fitness areas, utilizing the Activtrax system and equipment knowledge to conduct orientations and guide participants of all skill levels. Perform daily cleaning and maintenance per the Daily Cleaning Log, ensuring facility safety by enforcing policies, managing emergency procedures, and completing incident reports when necessary. Manage monthly shift assignments including weekends and holidays, arrange timely substitutions, and maintain communication with the H&W Director. Participate in member recruitment, program promotions, and staff meetings while facilitating volunteer involvement and reporting equipment or participant issues to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Weekend availability
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must display an outgoing personality enabling him/her to relate well with members/participants
- Flexible to work at Frederick and Natelli locations
- Overall understanding of the fitness area
- Knowledge of all equipment in the Health and Wellness Center
- Knowledge of the Activtrax system
- Knowledge of facility emergency procedures
- Knowledge of YMCA Staff identification requirements (staff shirt and name badge)
