Job Summary
Implement and maintain the Company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System through internal audits, policy development, and risk assessments. Conduct weekly workplace inspections, investigate incidents, and manage safety committees while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Develop comprehensive safety programs including first aid training and fire drills, procure safety signage and PPE, and coordinate with maintenance departments to address hazards. Serve as the primary contact for local health and safety authorities, provide medical support for injured employees, and submit weekly and monthly operational reports. Work Monday through Friday from 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in OHS or Safety Management
- Certification from a recognized occupational health and safety institution
- Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems
- Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in OHS
- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
- Minimum of 1 year experience working within an ISO-certified management system is considered an asset
- Experience conducting internal audits
- Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
- Experience using Safety Management Systems and electronic document management systems is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
