Job Summary
Oversee Health & Safety compliance across all locations and support property-level Health & Safety Committees. Ensure all required inspections, audits, and reporting are completed, manage incident investigations, and maintain safety documentation. Coordinate training, act as the primary contact for safety concerns including WCB and Return to Work programs, and support a proactive hazard identification approach. This role requires travel between Canad Inns properties in Winnipeg, Brandon, and Portage la Prairie.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in Health & Safety
- Experience managing Workers Compensation Board (WCB) claims, including incident reporting, claim coordination, and communication with stakeholders
- Experience with disability case management, return-to-work planning, and workplace accommodation processes
- Strong knowledge of applicable workplace health and safety legislation and best practices
- Health & Safety education or certification (or equivalent experience)
- Must be able to travel regularly between Canad Inns properties across Manitoba, including Winnipeg, Brandon, and Portage la Prairie
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience in training, audits, and incident investigation
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations
