Job Summary
Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures, and management systems while conducting risk assessments to ensure appropriate control measures. Lead workplace inspections, audits, and safety investigations to identify hazards, driving corrective and preventive actions. Ensure compliance with Maltese Health & Safety legislation and company standards, managing contractor safety and permit-to-work systems. Deliver training, inductions, and awareness programmes to promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement. Monitor and report on performance, KPIs, incidents, and trends. Requires a degree or NEBOSH qualification with 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments and strong knowledge of Maltese regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Degree, Diploma, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a Health & Safety management role
- Strong knowledge of Maltese Occupational Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and internal audits
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence, coach, and engage employees at all levels of the organisation
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools
