Job Summary
Identify and analyze workplace-related risks while implementing corrective measures and coordinating OHS activities, audits, and emergency protocols. Advise management on best practices, design training modules, and maintain management systems such as lockout/tagout and WHMIS. Collaborate with human resources on return-to-work processes and participate in OHS committees to improve the safety culture at the Montreal refinery and offices.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in occupational health and safety (or related studies)
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in health and safety in an industrial environment
- Hands-on experience in health and safety
- Experience in a unionized environment
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office)
- Team player, good communicator, and motivator
- Strong sense of responsibility and good organization
- Flexibility, autonomy, and precision
- Sense of urgency and good critical thinking
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) license - an asset
