Job Summary
Health and Safety Coordinator responsible for ongoing improvement and oversight of the group of companies' Health, Safety, and Environment management system, ensuring compliance with regulatory, client, and company requirements. Will lead and support training, incident investigations, prequalification of subcontractors, administrative duties for safety programs, and field and office safety activities with travel to project sites.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience in HSE roles in Forestry, Environment, Oil and Gas, Geotechnical drilling, manufacturing and related sectors
- Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or other recognized designation in Canada/US (preferred)
- Experience as a representative of a Prime Contractor within Canada and/or US
- Strong understanding of industry standards, WorkSafeBC, Alberta OH&S, OSHA, etc.
- Experience with HSE management systems based on COR, ISO, etc.
- Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, TEAMS
- Intermediate First Aid/CPR or equivalent
- H2S Alive, Supervisory Level Ground Disturbance, Wildlife/Bear Awareness, WHMIS/HazCom
- Valid driver's license with clean record
