Job Summary
Health and Safety Advisor in a UK technology- and chemical-manufacturing environment, supporting ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 management systems, regulatory inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations (Root Cause Analysis), and safety training across laboratory, manufacturing, engineering and operational settings. Role involves toolbox talks, safety campaigns, KPI reporting, and contributing to continuous improvement and policy development with opportunities to progress toward a Health & Safety Manager position.
Required Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- Experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
- Excellent understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
- Experience supporting risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Desirable: Working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with ISO 45001 management systems.
- Knowledge of COSHH, DSEAR, PUWER and LOLER.
- Internal auditing experience.
- IOSH membership.
