Health and Safety Advisor

Job Summary
Provide day-to-day health and safety guidance and support to all departments, conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections, and safety audits. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions while monitoring compliance with company policies and relevant legislation. Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks, support the development of improvement projects, and maintain accurate records and KPI data. Assist with internal and external audits and work closely with operational teams to drive continuous improvement. This role reports to the Health & Safety Manager within a leading UK potato supplier committed to high-quality food production and employee wellbeing.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Health & Safety experience within a food manufacturing, FMCG, or production environment
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification)
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
- Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence and engage people at all levels of the business
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
