Health and Physical Education Teacher

Health and Physical Education Teacher responsible for delivering secondary education in health and physical education, maintaining a conducive classroom environment, meeting reporting and records requirements, and contributing to extracurricular activities. Duties include preparing lessons, managing classroom discipline, evaluating student progress, coordinating with staff, selecting instructional materials, maintaining professional relationships with parents and the community, and participating in faculty activities. Requires Alabama Professional Educator Certificate and adherence to background-check requirements; nine-month contract with salary per board schedule.
