Job Summary
Health Aide supports the delivery of comprehensive health services for children and families enrolled in Educare Omaha’s Early Head Start and Head Start programs. This position performs health-related duties including student health assessment within scope of practice, health records management, data entry, health screening support, medication documentation, student monitoring, and family communication. The Health Aide works collaboratively with site leadership, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with health regulations and program requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant, CNA, health-related training, or relevant coursework preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Experience working with young children and families preferred
- Knowledge of health documentation, confidentiality standards, and basic child health practices preferred
- Ability to pass all required background checks and meet compliance standards
