Job Summary
Design and implement appropriate instruction of content areas in accordance with state standards, district curriculum, and student needs. Create a positive educational climate, deliver rigorous lessons, and utilize diverse teaching practices to meet individual student requirements. Observe and evaluate student performance, monitor assessment data, and manage behavior using effective classroom strategies. Communicate with parents and personnel regarding progress while maintaining confidential records and ensuring student safety. Maintain appropriate certifications and professional development hours as required.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Elementary Education
- Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance
- Support the district's vision, mission, goals, and Strategic Plan
- Engage in civility, respect, and professionalism
- Maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of their positions
- Maintains appropriate certifications and professional development hours as required
- Reads, analyzes, and interprets all kinds of documents
- Responds to inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or community
- Writes speeches and effectively presents to managers, the public, and school board
- Works with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry
- Applies concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Microsoft Office
- Standing, walking, sitting, handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing
