HeadStart Teacher - Ages 3–4

Head Start classroom teacher for ages 3–4 in Richmond Public Schools. Plans and implements a program of study aligned with state/federal guidelines; prepares for classes with written evidence of preparation; communicates effectively with students, parents, and supervisors; identifies and supports students’ needs, assesses progress, and maintains records. Utilizes diverse instructional techniques and media to meet student needs, participates in faculty meetings, and supports school policy and interventions as part of in loco parentis responsibilities. Requires a professional license or eligibility for provisional licensure in the appropriate endorsement area; one year of teaching experience preferred; Spanish bilingual skills preferred. Reports to the principal; full-time position with online application through www.rvaschools.net; expected salary range $58,708–$109,226 per year.
