Job Summary
Coordinate preventative maintenance and oversee repair projects for Head Start centers in Bethel and surrounding villages under federal safety guidelines. Conduct annual facility assessments, develop maintenance schedules and budgets, and manage all facilities, maintenance, and repair projects. Directly supervise maintenance staff through one-on-one meetings, team meetings, and direct communication while ensuring they have the necessary tools and training. Provide budget estimates and quotes to the Program Manager, maintain records of assessments and inspections, and manage travel logistics for quarterly visits to remote villages. Review and approve timecards, evaluate employee performance, and ensure strict confidentiality of client information.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing facilities maintenance
- Minimum of 5 years of direct maintenance work experience
- Basic knowledge in using a computer
- Basic knowledge in using Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook E-Mail and Word
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in supervising a maintenance crew
