Head Wrestling Coach 2026-2027

Head Wrestling Coach responsibilities include professional and interpersonal relations with building principal and athletic director, organizing and leading coaching staff, developing relationships with participants, staff, parents, and community, motivating players toward goals, maintaining conduct during practices and games, attending WVSSAC meetings, and managing coaching duties such as high-caliber instruction, teaching basic wrestling skills, handling injuries, equipment care, supervising participants and support personnel, budgeting and purchasing, and ensuring compliance with WVSSAC/league policies. Required qualifications include WV teaching certification/permit or substitute permit, a high school diploma or GED, and WVSSAC certification; additional training and certifications are required (Concussion awareness, KCS staff development, background checks, and cost estimates of training).
