Job Summary
Lead the Women’s Basketball Program at Warren Wilson College with responsibility for coaching, recruiting, budgeting, scheduling, and fundraising. Develop a holistic program aligned with the college’s distinctive approach to integrating academics, work, and community engagement. Manage travel and game operations, ensure compliance with NCAA and College policies, build relationships with student-athletes and alumni, and foster a culture of academic and athletic excellence within a diverse and inclusive community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two years of coaching or related experience, OR at least two years of playing collegiate basketball.
- Demonstrated knowledge of collegiate basketball.
- Proven ability to build relationships with prospective and current student-athletes, team-building skills focusing on communication and positive interactions.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Ability to effectively utilize Google Suite, recruiting platforms and student information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work with people from a diverse range of identities and experiences.
- Current certification in first aid, CPR, and AED use or ability to obtain certifications upon hire.
- Valid driver’s license.
