Job Summary
Head Veterinary Nurse sought to provide senior clinical and professional leadership for the nursing team at a UK practice. You will oversee all nursing aspects, set and maintain nursing standards, lead clinical governance and quality improvement activities, and develop a capable nursing team. You’ll work with the practice leadership to shape culture, performance and ways of working, including leadership responsibilities, governance, people development, operational oversight and ongoing quality improvement. RCVS registration required with extensive leadership experience in clinical veterinary nursing, and a track record of mentoring teams and upholding professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Significant experience in clinical practice with advanced medical and surgical nursing skills
- Proven experience in leading, mentoring and developing nursing teams
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement and professional standards
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
