Job Summary
Head Varsity Softball Coach responsible for assisting with the organization, management, and evaluation of the softball program in Sidney, OH. Works with Athletic Director and head coach to review policies, plans, and schedules; conducts mandatory meetings; maintains records; recruits and supervises student managers and scouts; coordinates tryouts and practice schedules; promotes positive school image, academic performance, safety, and proper conduct; ensures athletes’ compliance with regulations and supports program needs with community resources and fundraising; provides guidance to student-athletes and fosters teamwork and personal development.
Required Qualifications
- Valid State of Ohio teacher’s license is preferred
- Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g., tuberculosis test)
- Provides documented evidence of a clear criminal record
- Coaching expertise for the assigned sport
- Completion of all pupil activity supervisor validation requirements
- Documentation of current CPR training
- Meets all prerequisite qualifications to be bonded
