Job Summary
Organize, lead, and oversee all aspects of the Brave Christian School Softball program, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Foster community spirit consistent with school mission and core values among coaches, student-athletes, and parents. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches while abiding by rules from the Bay Area Conference, North Coast Section, and California Interscholastic Federation. Plan practice sessions, instruct techniques, coordinate game schedules and travel, and manage equipment distribution. Represent the school at league preseason and postseason meetings and maintain clear communication regarding team expectations and schedules. This stipend position pays $5,000 at season's end.
Required Qualifications
- Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level
- Must have a strong understanding of softball rules, regulations, fundamentals, strategy, and skill development
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor student-athletes
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, staff, and administrators
