Job Summary
Head Varsity Coach for Boys Basketball responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the team; instructing skill development; communicating team rules and eligibility; coordinating tryouts and selections; supervising practices and games; ensuring safety and adherence to policies; coordinating transportation and maintaining professional conduct; requires ability to coach athletes of varying skill levels, lead practices 3 times a week and games 2 times a week, and manage responsibilities within a 14-week season; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred and a valid California Class C license with current insurance is required. The role is seasonal and part-time (12.5 hours/week, 14 weeks) with compensation totaling $3,500 for the season.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 3 years of High School or Club Basketball coaching experience
- Valid CA license (Class C) and current insurance coverage
- Safe driving record
